Update ROM Advice

Hi, I've been thinking about flashing to a new ROM, currently I've got i900XXHG5. The phone is on contract locked to Orange UK so my question is will I have to make unlock it from the network (ie Sim Free) first or can I just go ahead and flash?

Have you tried another Sim, ?? My Orange phone is unlocked as standard

Mine too, I didn't think any of them were sim locked or branded???

Did try another sim and the omnia just keeps on asking me to enter a PIN and there's a small padlock symbol with "Net" next to it. Presume this means network locked.
