Merging memory (Internal and Storage Card)

When I was on the original DX firmware, windows media only reported 'Storage' as the music store. By this I mean that when the library is updated, it would include everything throughout the phone. Now however on DXHI3, with my 16Gb card & 8Gb storage, I can't have random for the entirety of my music, just from one or the other. Any ideas? Perhaps just a registry tweak is needed?
