Guest Reuben (MY) Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 it happen only to certain people, not all actually... till now no one found the cause yet but since you're able to make rom upgrade yourself, why not try HI3, at least this rom is with very less complain at the moment.

Guest prelude Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 ya, besides that, connecting to gps also generate lots of heat... especially when i was with HH3 rom I'm using G4 rom and using GPS also generates lots of heat...can hang the phone halfway thru my journey...if you don't realised it, you ended up missing exits and turns.
Guest ketamdaco Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Agree guys, i think its samsung problem and homework and should responsible to us who bought the omnia ;)
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Heat is a generic issue with devices that have internal GPS and WiFi etc, it is not Omnia specific. I have seen exactly the same issue on other devices. The HTC Universal also used to heat up nicely when using WiFi.
Guest ldbs Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 eh, at least it will keep you warm in the winter ;) for some reason i thougth the heat was from the memory card personally cause that is the area that mine gets really warm
Guest ketamdaco Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 I admitted that wifi and gps phone get easily to be heat, but in this case I was just flashing to DXHI2 and i didnt use any wifi and gps yet. only install some applications. Did Spb shell will get crash with the Rom DXHI2?
Guest kao123 Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 I have noticed the same issue with my Omnia, am running rom version DXHG4, and it only heats up when I am using the GPS, however my friends Touch Diamond also does exactly the same thing so am pretty sure it's not just an Omnia/Samsung issue
