Guest lazzas Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Thanks for letting me join and hopefully I won't be too annoying with my questions. -Just upgraded from a Nokia N95 to Samsung Omnia with Vodafone. I am having a hard time in seeing most of the fonts used and wondered if there is a font magnifier available (software)? Used Psiloc font magnifier with my N95 and it worked well. Next question is, as the Omnia is locked what about downloading new firmware? Also, what about using skype or windows messenger to make internet calls> Assume Vodafone played with the phone to stop that kind of thing? Any help you can offer is much appreciated Thanks!
Guest Kuteguy Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) Hi - the Omnia I got from Vodafone was not locked - I could put any SIM in it I wanted. That is what everyone else has reported too. I can use Skype no problems. Messenger - I am sure it won't be a problem either Firmware - there are a lot of firmwares on here (incl newer Radio) - and they are quite easy to find within the Samsung Omnia sub-section of Modaco. Font magnifier - not sure, as I have not needed it - but I am sure somebody else will chime in to let you know. Actually - just checked under Settings there is a 'Large Display' which makes some of the menu items bigger. There use to be 'Accessibility' in the Settings page but they seem to have taken it out :-( Edited October 10, 2008 by Kuteguy

Hopefuly, someone will reply in terms of a font magnifier.
