Guest NixxxE Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 do you have to tick the calender when syncronizing
Guest Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Yes tick the box for Calendar when setting up your partnership with ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Centre (whichever one you are using). It's also advisable to tick the Contacts box also as this will sync all your contacts over to your PC - a handy way to backup your contacts.

Guest Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 please some1 must be able to help me Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express? Sounds like something to do with password protection on your Outlook - try temporarily removing the password if this is the case to allow ActiveSync to access it. What are you trying to sync other than contacts?
Guest Sleeper Service Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Have you installed the Windows Mobile Device Centre Software? If so check that your data cable connection is set to ActiveSync and not USB. If you're still having problems, unplug the cable, reboot the PC and try again. That worked for me althogh you may have to hard reset the phone.

Guest Fizz_daz Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 being pushy ain't going to win you friends. First of all are you using XP and Activesync 4.5? what version of outlook are you using.. all things you need to provide. What I would do first of all is to delete all your partnerships in activesync. I also often find that activesync gets in a twist and I ahve to re-install it.. try the partnerships first. Then connect your phone and set the connection up.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 If you have a Vista pc then you need to install Device Manager instead of Activesync which is available to download from Microsoft.

Guest Fizz_daz Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 XP I presume then. in activesync go file>delete mobile device remove all references to previous devices. Report back what you get when you have set the connection back up. It could be outlook is corrupted, this has happened to me too.. but unless you tell us what's happening then we can't help can we..
Guest Fizz_daz Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) by the way.. you google your message you get loads... - http://sbshelpdesk.com/index.php?_m=knowle...p;kbarticleid=5 for a start which pretty much says what I said.. http://forum.soft32.com/pda/Active-sync-sy...opict79777.html Edited October 10, 2008 by Fizz_daz
