Guest Massive Attack Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Hello, Please shown me how to use the video call, When I press on the phone button and video button on the phone pad (next to the no.9) is disable. Thanks you need to be in a 3g area to do this. if you have 3g icon on the task bar (not E, not G) then you can video call.

Guest bobobird Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 secondary question most video call capable phones allow the use of the front camera for picture taking - cant find this option in the omnia. any ideas ?
Guest Octopus1968 Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 secondary question most video call capable phones allow the use of the front camera for picture taking - cant find this option in the omnia. any ideas ? Yes, its not intended to be used for picture taking. And it does not make sense, since the camara in the back is much better. BTW, I don't know one single phone where it is possible to do that (my SE K610i doesn't allow that either).
Guest mjed2006 Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 ...I don't know one single phone where it is possible to do that... My Nokia N95 does!
Guest bobobird Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 I don't know one single phone where it is possible to do that yes, my N95 and HTC Touch do that and very well. One nifty thing on the HTC's is a highly polished metal stud next to the (rear camera) for self-portrait taking purposes.
Guest natalie1981_cutie Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 I was wondering this myself since my i780 was able to switch between the front and back camera with the volume switch when in the camera mode. I thought it was the same for the Omnia but I was disappointed that you can't access the front camera unless you're video calling. It's a bummer since I usualy use the front camera on my mobile phones as mirror if I left my compact mirror at home. I don't know one single phone where it is possible to do that I think most HTC device can do that and Nokias as well.

Guest shambolic Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 my xda exec switches between front and back camera
Guest Population96 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Is video calling even possible with the i910? With all the stuff Verizon removed/disabled I wouldn't be surprised to find it mutilated in some way just so they can have less data going through their network.

The Verizon i910 does not have a front camera. The little "window" in the upper right of the screen is the light sensor not a camera.
