Battery, gaming...

Hello,

I really like Diamonds design, but I would ask you - users how is it with the battery? Let's say I'll talk like 30 minutes a day and send like 100 smss, how long will it take so the fully charged battery would get down?

And how about gaming? Let's say I will play games... how long will I be able to play without recharging?

The single biggest gripe about the Diamond is its battery, so if battery is going to be a problem for you I would suggest avoiding it.

Talk time is rated at 4 hours (GSM).

SMS's aren't going to use much battery, but the screen time involved in typing them is going to be the bigger problem, and hard to define as it depends how long you take.

I find the battery lasts around 2-3 hours for GPS usage, and would imagine gaing would be similar with intensive screen and processor usage.

Ah and one more question... there is extended battery... they say it's larger (in size), but i couldnt find any comparation for example photo of Diamond with normal battery and Diamond with extended battery... Any idea where could i find such a comparation?

Does this extended battery really extend life of phone or its just marketing bullsh*t? It's not much bigger in mAh...

I don't know much about it tbh, because it modifies the back cover and makes the phone bigger.

if the mAh isn't much different then I would steer clear.

And how time does it work without using at all? (or few minute calls, few sms'es)? It works 24h or less?

I think you would get probably 2-3 days, at least I get something along those lines with relatively frequent inbound emails.

Well thats not that bad.. hmm... I really like the way the phone looks like... Omnia and X1 look like sh*t... And HTC Touch Pro is too big(!)

I owned HTC diamond, Omnia and Iphone: Always +/- on each but overall I like Omnia

I like it also, and haven't had any issues with it. YMMV! Of course the battery still poses an issue for a fair few.

I would get an iPhone, but need more storage space if it's going to replace my iPod as well.
