Guest tropolite Posted October 12, 2008 Report Posted October 12, 2008 Hi Am I overlooking something? My caller ID isn't working. I'm using the HI2 FWare along with SPB Shell and skins as well as S2U2. Synching my contacts from Outlook2007. I've tried formatting the phone numbers to make sure the country code and area codes are included and not included and still not recognising caller ID correctly. Caller ID is activated with my service provider. The IDs aren't even picked up when looking at the missed call listing. Thanks in advance for your advice. Cheers
Guest raed_n Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 I had this problem with the Omnia earlier. and its due to either one of two reasons: your service provider, or the Callidmatch in the phones registry. at first i could not get a contact name for any of the received or missed calls, neither in call log nor in keypad mode. I downloaded a registry editor and changed the callIDmatch entry from 8 to 7. This half fixed the problem. so when in keypad, i could check the names of all missed, received and dialled calls, but in the call log i couldn't (except for dialled). Hope this helps

Did you end up finding a fix for this?
Guest cmsydney Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 I had the same problem but only on contact stored in SIM. In Poland numbers have following format: +48 xxx xxx xxx - mobiles +48 (xx) xxx xx xx - home It means that the area code is 48 and numbers have 9 digits. I have contacts stored with numbers in international format (with +48). But only on incoming call screen the caller id is not correctly recognized. In my network incoming call have following format: xxx xxx xxx, without area code. So when I remove +48 in contacts the caller id is correctly recognized. But abroad the problem will return as incoming call will have international number format. I tried to change the value callidmatch in the registry to 9 (I guess this value is correct for Poland), 8,7,.... but it didn't help. Is there any way to fix this problem? I must have all contact stored in SIM. I don't want to copy contacts to the phone as there is no synchronization between contacts stored in SIM and in phone. Maybe there is an option to enable showing area code for all incoming calls (including national).
