Guest the-jackal Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 My daughter and the London Eye The London Eye Big Ben A little Panoramic shot.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Wish the panoriamic shots were higher res on the Omnia! I have noticed that since a recent update, I'm sure my pics look a bit more 'washed out'... P
Guest the-jackal Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Yeah. I do like the one of Big Ben though.
Guest FutureDirt Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) Yeah. I do like the one of Big Ben though. that is a good pic! you just inspired me to actually check out the panoramic picture capability of this phone... i didnt realise that it lines them up automatically... how good is that! Guest MrCRB Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 i didnt realise that it lines them up automatically... how good is that! Apart from the panoramic pictures you'll discover much more nice/cool options with the camera of your Omnia  Well, *I* like the camera very much, even if it's possibly (?) not as good as many other cell phone cams out there.
Guest Feet Maestro Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 the flash sucks cos it isnt even a flash! my old k800i was better  i mostly use phone cam on the piss and its not too good for nite shots, colours are horrible and flash makes close up shots bright white! During the day its grand but well itll have to do cos the rest of the phone is super duper
Guest andre77 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Pics look great. What settings are you using for your omnia camera?

Guest the-jackal Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Pics look great. What settings are you using for your omnia camera? As is mate. Nothing fancy at all. as said above its great for well lit areas but inside it sucks. My N95 camera knocked spots of this but hey, at the end of the day its a phone.
Guest Likvidator Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Great photos, guys! The only question I have. I cannot set up resolution in "panorama" mode higher than 320 x 240 pixels. Is it only with me, or you guys have the same problem? I mean that Omnias camera supports only 320 x 240 pix. If so, in my opinion, such low res. makes "panorama" option absolutely useless. ;)
Guest klinc Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 (edited) Now you did it. I had to pull a couple from this Sunday. Edit: Removed non omnia picture. ;) Edited July 21, 2009 by klinc
Guest remmyhi Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Sorry man, but the last picture (disneyworld at night) was made using Kodak DX7440... Do not cheat... or at least delete the EXIF... Shame on you...
Guest necosino Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Sorry man, but the last picture (disneyworld at night) was made using Kodak DX7440... Do not cheat... or at least delete the EXIF... Shame on you... idk what that means at all ;) I believe that pic could have been taken with the Omnia. I've taken some stunning pictures of fires and point lights like this on the Omnia that come out a lot like this one did.

Shame on you... Your right my bad... Didn't mean to cheat just saw it in my folder and grabbed it. Thought it looked a bit "clear" but was in a hurry. ;)

Guest Matthew DeCillis Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 I'm trying to get good results with the Omnia but having problems. What settings do you guys use?
Guest jhitesma Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Overall i'm pretty happy with the camera. I came from a LG VX8300 and this is a much nicer camera with a much more usable "flash" - though as a fairly serious amateur photographer I tend to avoid flash in general and always have. I do have two complaints though. 1) It has a very noticeable magenta cast to most daylight shots. I live in the desert and it's VERY noticeable against the neutral sand/dirt backgrounds. I see shots people have taken in greener areas don't seem to have the same issue. Since green and magenta are complementary colors (across from each other on the color wheel) I suspect this is due to the automatic white balance/color balance trying to correct for a perceived "problem" with the scenes I'm shooting. 2) This is a problem most cell phone cameras suffer from. Poor protection for the lens. I've already got a few small scratches over it in under 6 months of use and it's greatly affecting the clarity of the shots :D I really wish manufacturers would put some kind of protection back on cell cameras like they did when the first came out. Either a little manual lens cover slide, or at least recess the lens back somewhat so it's protected. I'll also admit I've become a fan of Shozu, the version that came stock on the phone was total crap, but the newer releases I've come to quite like. Being able to have all of my shots sent to my Smugmug site (or other hosting site of your choice) and e-mailed to me meant when my SD card died I didn't loose any of the shots I had stored on it. And being able to add a comment and post to Facebook along with CCing my archives all in one swoop I find very handy. Since I upgraded to the newer Shozu all my shots get posted here I need to go back and upload some of the earlier shots from when I first got the phone though as most of the more recent shots aren't nearly as exciting ;)
Guest Aximtreo Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 My daughter and the London Eye The London Eye Big Ben A little Panoramic shot. I you don't mind but I'm using the Big Ben pic as my laptop desktop; getting compliments in Arizona already. Thanks,
Guest pallen Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 I like shozu too. You can send your pics to facebook, photobucket, flickr, twitpic, videos to youtube. Its great! Free for WinMobile, but my friend with an iPhone said its $5 through the Apple App Store :)
Guest limit77 Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 I just discovered you could use the center button (ok button) to take shots a la iPhone. lol Never knew that and have been using the Omnia 910 for 6 months now.
