Guest imacken Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Sorry for the question, but even though I have tried to understand the numbering system can someone please explain about my ROM version. (I just got my Omnia today, so please excuse me!) On my phone it says PDA: i900XXHHD/ACHH3 and PHONE: i900BUHH2. Is this version new? Is there a better one to flash? Thanks.
Guest jclsm Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Hi, A little search could show this:  http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...re-version-fix/
Guest imacken Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Hi, A little search could show this:  http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...re-version-fix/ Yes, I already looked at that, but I still don't understand, and that's why I posted. I can't see anything on that list that relates to my numbers. I have 3 sets of numbers and I can't work out which is being referred to and whether mine is more recent or older. Again, apologies for the ignorance.

Again, apologies for the ignorance. it looks like your firmware is the latest Vodafone branded firmware. There is no later Vodafone firmware. There is however newer unoffical firmware out there... HJ1 being the latest at time of posting. Flash at your own risk!
Guest imacken Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Thanks for that. Will all the irritating Vodafone stuff disappear? If so, is there any down side to that?
Guest FutureDirt Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Thanks for that. Will all the irritating Vodafone stuff disappear? If so, is there any down side to that? only downside is it will invalidate your warranty!
Guest imacken Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 only downside is it will invalidate your warranty! Can it be flashed back? Is the standard Vodafone ROM available somewhere?
Guest FutureDirt Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Can it be flashed back? Is the standard Vodafone ROM available somewhere? not yet... they are due release their updated ROM very shortly i believe. I am also on Voda... but i have an older f/w then you... mine is HH1. I am waiting for the official Voda firmware release myself. Im going to flash the official version... see what difference it makes (if any) and then decide whether to flash to a later unofficial or custom ROM.
