Guest leon2u Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Hello, I have flashed my Omnia to DXHJ1 and runs smooth. The language is English but I rather have the interface back in Dutch. Till now I was not able to find a Dutch Rom for the Omnia anywhere so maybe someone can post one in here?!? The second things is that there is a multiple language interface file available. In this file there is also the Dutch language but till now I do not see the Change Language button in my system menu which should be there to switch languages. For the PDF about the language file click here! Maybe someone can help and know why the Change Language button does not show up in Windows Mobile?!? If I can use the language file to change back to Dutch then I do not need a Dutch Rom anymore. Thanks for your efforts already!
Guest maxamer Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 You can find the latest Dutch Rom here: http://nl.samsungmobile.com/supports/softw...als/software.do B)
Guest Quasi_NL Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) Hey Maxamer, thanks for the link but i've already tried this one,but the i900XKHH1_ebootupdater_xp.exe keeps telling me the "incorrect software version" window. i also did this before i wanted to update : "If you get 'Incorrect Software Version' when trying to update, here's the fix! - Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer - With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*# - Select 'Preconfiguration' - Enter code *#81230*# and select OK - Select 'Singapore', with the default Operator - Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET - Run update, and all should be well. " ...still no luck with updating. EDIT : i got the same problem as Leon2u as he describes in his above post,i updated with the following ROM that i found on this site by Paul (MVP) Paul's complete guide to upgrading your Omnia to HH1 PDA:I900DXHH1 PHONE:I900XXHG5....there is no Change Language button in my system menu. B) Can someone help me out ? Greets from the Netherlands B) Edited November 26, 2008 by Quasi_NL
Guest maxamer Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Maybe you can try this one: http://be.samsungmobile.com/NLD/supports/s...&sw_type=SW It does not need the update
Guest maxamer Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 I think you will have to change the default operator to Netherlands or Benelux instead of Singapore in order to install NL software. Greetings B)
Guest Quasi_NL Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 okay thanks i will give it a try ! Greets: Vince
Guest maxamer Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 There is no Change Language button in the system. When you install a new Multilanguage ROM file, you will have to select the language you want as your system language. Once installed you can not change the language on the fly. You have to reinstall the ROM file.
Guest Quasi_NL Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) hmmmz, that's quite sh**y because i haven't got the "old" Dutch ROM anymore i did'nt back it up,so my question is does someone have a link where i can download it like an image file in Paul's post so i can use Grand Prix to turn it back into the Dutch version? Many thanks so far Maxamer. Greetz Edited November 26, 2008 by Quasi_NL
Guest bieder Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) Here's the link for the latest dutch rom: http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-r...read-new-dthj9/ It's in the thread i900 Omnia ROM Discussion and it's called: Secanys Rom research thread. I've had the same problem and I fixed it by flashing with this ROM from Secany. Now I've got the dutch version again. By the way: what also can help is to download the e-bootupdater again. That has done the trick for me once when I got the 'Incorrect Software Version'. Groeten, Bieder Edited November 26, 2008 by bieder
Guest ilkkes Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Does this newest Dutch ROM have language changer in settings? In Finland we have finnish .MLI file in memory card so we can post it to the internet but not have finnishROM posted to internet by Samsung or Secany... So I think we can change dutch language to finnish if this ROM have that language change option
