Sms notification

Does anyone know how to disable sms notification popup. It bothers me because i get a notification by the sms icon in spb software and the big baloon with almost all of my sms contents in it. So how could i disable the baloon and keep the sms sound notification?

I have googled a lot but didn't find any help for my problem. Mostly it's the oposite to disable sound and keep the baloon.

the balloon is annoying, i agree.

Especially as it won't go away until it's timed out, covering the screen. Especially annoying if already trying to type some text.

Would be good to know how to disable it :lol:

You can't completely disable the notification, but you can avoid the popping-up balloon.

Go to the Settings, Personal tab,

Open Sounds and Notifications,

Go to the second tab, Notifications,

On the first dropdown menu (Event), select "Messaging: New text message"

Uncheck "Display message on screen"

Click OK, and you're good to go.

Note, however, that the notification will still be there: no balloon with popup, it won't interrupt what you're doing, but the Left softkey on the Today screen will keep the "Notification" option until you dismiss it.

Thanks yunabeco. I checked all the options and i guess i missed this one.
