Guest Aneeliyo Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Hi, I just got my Omnia on monday and still playing around with it. I have read this forum very carefully but most of the firmware/ROM updates are based on UK/US and since living in Bangkok (Thailand) I am not sure if those updates works for me or not...Anyway.. I have 2 questions... 1. When I go to phone book/contacts , all my sim contacts are displayed but all the contact names are displayed 2 times.... What should I do? Do I need to delete one manully or is there any other way? 2. About GPS, my dealer here in bangkok has installed route 66 software and they told me to register, I am still confused what should i do? I asked the dealer and it seems they does not have much knowledge about it. Can anyone help me to sort out these problems. Thanks very much in advance Aneeliyo Bangkok
Guest foxmylife Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 For the first question, maybe you have your contacts in both the Sim card and the Phone. Try to use the filter at the top left. Instead of "All" choose "Sim" or "Phone". If it appear just once it means I was right ^^

The filter applies only to the phonebook but the dialpad area will still show both the sim and pb contacts.
Guest bobobird Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 To disable showing both the sim and pb contacts, change the registry value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone\ShowSim from 1 to 0 (default = 1)

Guest bobobird Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 The topic of changing the registry has cropped up numerous times and others have explained this much better then I can. Perhaps do a search ??
Guest Aneeliyo Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 yes You are right... Many thanks bobobird
