Guest couzo Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 (edited) I am looking to get a good hard case for my new omnia. Any recommendations? I have tried the Zagg invisible shield after finding it very good on my macbook but the omnia version really does not go well with the touch screen of the omnia. Many thanks Edited October 17, 2008 by couzo
Guest Ingvarr Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 (edited) Personally I use no phone case, as I carry my Omnia in the good belt holster all the time and I prefer using phone without additional bulk on it. I've only put Martin Fields over the face and camera lens. For occasional need I have a silicone skin, its thin and handy, and very easy to put on and off. Edited October 17, 2008 by Ingvarr
Guest liads Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 I use invisible shield for the body, and some cheap protector for the screen. I also have a simple slide-in leather case which I use (got it with the phone), and a crystal case which I use in more risky days (holidays).
Guest markkohfm Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 I use the invisible shield for the body and a martin fields screen and camera lens protector. I think this is the ultimate you can go in protecting your phone and having touch screen sensitivity. The invisible shield screen protector caused the screen to not be able sensitive so i took it off after just 2 days.
Guest couzo Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 Does anyone else find the invisible shield picks up dust and lint really badly round the edges. I also find the screen protector to really not work well with the touchscreen does the martin fields one make running your finger over he screen easier as the zagg one is less than stella at that?
Guest 1Mack Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 I use a zagg like shield along with the silicon (high dust area). No problems.

Yeah i wasnt to impressed with my invis shield...had quite rough edges and dust gathers big time. Had to take it off this morn coz my omnia with hh1 software started not wanting to startup (hangin on the voda screen) so got a new omnia with hh3 software now...but im not too sure if i can put the shield back on or if i want to put it back on!? <_< Has anyone removed their invis shield and put it back on?

You have to take photos without flash. I put it and immediately removed because the photo quality was so poor! Very bright without colors.
Guest Bad-Co Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 I use the screen protector from game.co.uk for a PSP, cut to suit... And for the case I have acase from phones4u.... cheap is my middle name

Guest saznpins Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 I didn't like the invisible shields so I took them off and I'm using a ADVERTISING SPAM leather case which is pretty decent but not perfect, I have both a Martin Fields for the screen and a Noreve leather case on order and I think that will be the perfect combo for me personally

Under their terms and conditions if you return the shield to them if you get your phone replaced you get a brand new one free of charge

Guest liads Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Yeah but i bought mine new off an ebay seller..will the warranty still stand? Im in the UK They have a form for registering shields bought from resellers: http://www.zagg.com/support/bought_elsewhere.php You should be able to use the warranty.
