Guest Bob Davis Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Hi, I Administrator of a reasonabily small network of computers [20pc's, 10 macs, a dozen or so servers] and we have recently set our domain controller to sync with a time server and the workstations now sync with the domain conrtroller. I did this using w32tm and the commands something like this server : w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:0.oceania.pool.ntp.org /syncfromflags:manual /reliable:yes /update workstations: w32tm /config /syncfromflags:domhier /update I did this as we had a daylight savings change and all, our clocks were all over the place, this change requires the removal of the tick from the "automaticly adjust clock for daylight savings" box on the workstation and then bingo the pc time is prefect, the area is right all is good, the Windows XP PC's have perfect time, untill you try and sync using active sync - latest version. everytime I try and sync the phones [okta touch -windows mobile 6.0, or samsung SPH-i325 - windows mobile 6.0] using active sync on a usb cable the time on the phone changes by one hour and all the apointments are 1 hour different from the outlook calander on the pc, or vice versa if they were created on the phone. I am syncing with the exchange server and using the activesync as a conectity provider only, I tried syncing with the pc, ie the local copy of outlook which gives me an option to remove the tick in sync time to pc time, this stops active sync messing with the clock on the phone but the appointments are still wrong. has anyone else had this issue ? i presume it is becausse the phone and the computer think they are in different time zones .. any ideas ? this is driving me and the 10 users that can no longer sync nuts. Any help or thougths much apreciated Bob
