Guest Tan Sri Chalie Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Is it possible to play*.mpg *.avi on omnia? i cant play them on wmplayer =x Hi Carlos, I can play those files on my Omnia without much problem. I use Core Player, by the way. the only problem i noticed was that the video becomes choppy when i tried to play mkv file. but then again that file was a hi-def full-res bluray rip and i did not scale it down
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Embarrassingly I have never really bothered to play MPEG or AVI's on the omnia. I'd always planned to put TV Shows or Movies across onto the TyTN II to watch when travelling but it seemed that they needed resizing. With the omnia, is it possible to just copy across a normal 350Mb sized AVI or MPEG to the Omnia and then just watch it in Core Player? Other alternative for movies while on the move was using the ipod touch ... but once again I feared that I would have to mess around with resizing/reencoding hassle, which quite frankly I can't be bothered with!

Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 So it does, just tried it! Thank you.

Guest Natsirt Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 maybe i havnt installed it properly, but i have installed coreplayer on my omnia, and i cant play AVI files :S... it says that AC3 audio isnt supported >< anyone know whats wrong?
Guest nollie Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 As far as I know only MP3-audio in videos is supported, so you might have to convert the video. If I'm wrong anyone please say.
Guest scalen Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Hello I think i got your solution man you want fast video streaming works in touch player just follow these steps :) ;) 1)Download this converter from here((http://rapidshare.com/files/252583432/XillVCU.rar)) and remember to disable your internet connection before you type in the serial and type anything in the name . 2)Drag in your videos any video format .For me i just download my videos from you tube in HD and i just convert it . 3)Convert your videos in General videos---->Xvid.avi-----> choose the video size 480x272 . 4)After your videos finish . Copy them to your omnia i900 and it should work perfectly in touch player without lag and full screen. Enjoy ;)

I don't know much about coreplayer, but you can play AVI files with AC3 audio on the non commercial version of coreplayer TCPMP. Try Phenom3 version, it is in this forum..
