Try and either upgrade it to the latest rom available on this site "HJ5" or take it to your service center to do it for you.
Guest DavidC Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) I think the heat comes from lower down than the battery. For me it's just below where the Sim and SD cards are. FWIW, I still have the heat issue with HJ1 when web browsing. As Secany said that HJ5 was only really for cooking, I've left it well alone. Should I be considering putting HJ5 on? Guest fursie Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 I have the same issue with heat from the back but below where the battery is. Particularly when web browsing. Hope its a ROM issue rather than a hardware fault. I am running the T-Mobile UK rom.
Guest Tan Sri Chalie Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Yep.. i experience that too, especially when i'm using gps. Another problem i noticed is that my battery gets drained pretty fast. i log on to 3g connection all the time, occasional web browsing, use gps to and back from office (around 15mins one way) . come night time, i need to recharge it... does that sound like normal omnia battery capacity to you? rom: DXHJ1
Guest Mig-L - Bell Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 I'm using DXHH1 and the battery doesn't drain that fast even with heavy use... But the device gets really hot when it's on the internet or gps, in the samsung show they said it was normal... The hotter it gets the heavyer the application the more battery is being drained...
