excellent ... many thanks for the suggestions, i'll try them this morning.

i had already tried WMirc which seemed okay, but was for only 30 days. Although idle in irc most of the time, I don't expect i really want to use it that much on my omnia to want to pay money for it (i'm so tight when it comes to software which means i will prolly end up with zIRC) :lol:

has anyone been sucessful in getting pocketIRC to work via broadband? it works great for me but only through wifi.

Im currently using PPC-Putty to ssh into one of my servers and then using irssi on the server to connect to a remote BNC. Works great for my needs :(.
