Guest Gashead86 Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Hi guys, First and foremost i would like to apolagise fo being what you may call a complete noob! I have recently taken out a new contracy and the handset i choose was the Omnia. The handset arrive yesterday and after several hours of playing i think i am getting used to it andstarting to love it! However i am having one or two snagging problems and figured if any one can help me it would be you guys, so here it goes...... 1) when using the onscreen keyboard with the stylus there are certin letters that only work if i press the letter directly to the left of the letter i need! Is this a common problem?? 2) What is the best way to import music to the phone? I have attempted to sync my windows media to the phone but i am having real problems with the interface of windows mobile on the omnia. This also seems to mean i cant listen to the tracks in touch player! 3) I managed to import one or two films last night again using wmp but when i went to playthe imported files there was a boarder between around the video, hence making the video about half a inch smaller all the way around and theefore making the screen to small to watch (without hurting my eyes!). I assume there must be a way to strech the picture out to fill the screen? If so, anybody know how?? 4) finally, my auto orientation seems not to be woring? Do i need to turn this on?? Thanks everyone! Ta

Thanks everyone! Ta 1. Re calibrate the screen using the stylus. Start>settings>system>screen>align 2. Just use active sync and then explore device. Simply drag the MP3's into the desired folder. 3. Same as MP3'3 (i think) have never done it. 4. Yes you need to turn it on to automatic (see No1.) Edited October 24, 2008 by the-jackal

Guest mobilehappy Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 (edited) Try CorePlayer if that one don't play it, then its probably is corrupted  Edited October 28, 2008 by mobilehappy
Guest Gashead86 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Try CorePlayer if that one don't play it, then it probably is corrupted  No, its not corrupt. I have burned the file to dvd and it plays fine. Thats why im rather confused as to the problem! Ta
Guest mobilehappy Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Still you should try with CorePlayer , its the best video player for Windows Mobile. If the file is in a very high resolution and/or bitrate you might try to reduce it to a lower level to make it less system resource intensive to play.

Ye i think it was actually, just checked the file size and each half of the film is 700mb or over!!! Huge!!! I have now converted the file using pocketpc convertor and that seems to have done the job. Thanks
