Samsung Omnia Firmware Questions

Hi all,

I appreciate that this question may have been asked a million times before but for the life of me I cannot find a definitive guide to the various versions of firmware available and which is the latest and most stable English UK version.

So far I gather, and correct me if i'm wrong, that Samsung's latest version is DXHH3

My Samsung Omnia software version is as follows:

PDA: i900XXHHD/ACHH3

Phone: i900BUHH2

My questions are as follows:

What is the latest firmware version for the Samsung Omnia as of today 24th October 2008?

Samsung's firmware is often referred to as DXHH3. Is that the PDA ie, the last bits which in my case are ACHH3 or the Phone which is BUHH2?

Do i have the latest firmware, except that mine is showing as ACHH3 and not DXHH3 because mine is vodafone branded?

Which is the newest and most stable version if not DXHH3?

Is it possible to flash my Omnia to the latest version?

In case i don't like it can I first backup my existing ROM to restore later on?

AFAIK, the latest English firmware is i900DTHJ6
