Newbie Omnia questions

I have searched but can't find what I'm looking for, if it has been asked before, sorry.

I've had the phone since yesterday and have a few questions.

I have two battery symbols at the top, anyone know why? They look slightly different but if I 'click' either of them it takes me to the battery screen.

Can I turn off the text messaging feature that makes it look like a conversation? And just have the usual text message style?

Is there any apps that will allow me to chose what icons are on the today screen? The samsung today screens 1 and 2 either have too many apps (half I won't use), and wont let me remove them, and add the ones I want. (example, samsungs today screen 1, has the three icons at the bottom you can't change, but it has the phone icon, above the usual softkey 'phone' button, and the menu icon above the 'menu' softkey so whats the point, since it's they're anyway.)

I downloaded ifonz but that has a load of (to me) pointless icons too, just like the Samsung's own, and I can't personalise them either. So is there such an app?

Am I right in thinking the touchplayer wont recognise WMA's?

You might have installed / uninstalled an application that messed up your registry. It happened to me once, and I managed to resolve it with hard reset

There is. But it's not free. It's called Spb Pocket Plus You can download the trial version first see if it works for you.

Spb Software House has load of cool application to make you feel "at home" with your new toy. IMHO, the best addon to your Omnia.

just hold your stylus on the desktop from ifonz pressed

a menu open

then customize like you want

I tried a hard reset, seems to have sorted the battery icon problem.

You just reminded me that I have a copy of pocket plus I use on my dell axim, so i'll give that a try.

I'm really trying to love the omnia, since it does so many amazing things, but right now it's all seeming a bit complicated for a phone. I'd thought I'd get used to it quickly having had pocket pc's for years, but it seems for me, combining my ppc with my phone might be a step too far.

Thanks for that, can delete the icons if I got from the bottom up, but can't delete one from the top or middle row. Ah well, I'll get there in the end,
