Has anyone got these to coexist? Anything I do with FL3.1 seems to break the widgets UI...

I don't think this is possible with the current widgets, I have read somewhere that the widgets were programed using flash lite 2.1, so they are actually using the flash lite 2.1 (like a flash website), and that is why 2.1 is on the Omnia instead of 3.1 and that is why "again" Samsung until now refuses to integrate 3.1 although HTC already have done it on many devices ago!

funny, I was just wondering today who can we ask from Samsung if they ever even have a plan to get flash lite 3.1 in any future rom? wish I can rest my mind... <_<

Maybe this could be an alternative FEWidgets

It would enable the creation of new custom widgets too.....

There's no way Widgets will work with FL3.5... As suggested, try FEWidgets, there are many more widgets available and it's pretty cool too.

So there is a Flash Lite 3.5 and we still don't have it!? C'mon Samsung...

Seeing as Samsung's widgets are pretty much not useful and mainly eye candy maybe they should be left out altogether? Including Flash Lite 3.1 would be more useful and rather than include FEWidgets in the rom they can be installed by anyone who wants them and not take up storage space for those who dont.

FEWidgets is not all that great either.

With the ss widgets, they are at least trying to distinguish the face of the product from all the other winmo today screens out there. All so boring. No matter how one changes those to look the way one wants them (this flo that flo, manila, etc) the end result is still the same old sameness..... and boring.

Apple probably understood that aspect quite well hence the iphone UI. Also boring after a while but at least a change. And perhaps it was that UI change that got it off rather then anything about the phone itself.

I couldn't agree more!

After having actually tested out FEWidgets, i agree too..its not very good at all.

I actually hope there is a way to make the original Omnia Widget system work with Flash Lite 3.1 , since i would like to use both

I actually like the Samsung Widgets, they let me keep a clean nice screen and i can then just drag out and use the widgets i like at any given time. (And remove them when i don't need them)

To get some more advanced and easy to reach functions the widgets have been complimented by the use of Winterface and Wishbar Advance 3.

Same problem here Paul!

Tried to install FlashLite 3.1 3 times and the widgets disappeared everytime.

After uninstall widgets returned.

Is there a way to get FL3.1 and widgets working? Then i can use youtube AND widgets!

If you just want to watch Youtube then that is no problem at all, you can just use CorePlayer, Kinoma Play or YouTube Player

With Kinoma Play you can even upload videos to Youtube.

If you want to use other flash based sites then Opera with Flash Lite 3.1 comes in handy

Only some flash sites can be viewed with Flash Lite 2.1

Its also possible to install Adobe Flash Player 7 and you can view Flash 7 content in the IE browser.
