Guest HasC Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Hi all, I have just installed O3touch on the Omnia and have found it very useful. It does not have the eye candy of scrolling through contacts but provides a fantastic way to manage calls and recall contacts. If you download the software, be sure to read the manual as there are a number of little changes you can make through the programs shorcuts. the cab file has been attached in this post. Remember to install it to the phones main memory and visit the website for more information at http://www.o3touch.com/. This is what they have said on their website about the program : O3touch is a windows mobile dialer that drastically speeds up calling, searching, texting and emailing your contacts making the use of the phone (and you) much more effective. 1 touch access to all key features 1 finger , writing, searching, dialing, sending 1 minute to master - super intuitive user interfaceO3Touch.CAB

Guest HasC Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Just done it, sorry I'm not a fan I'll stick to iContacts but cheers for the option. No probs, I find it useful because of its practicality, the only thing I dislike so far is when it is used for texting, it does not have T9 facility which makes it longer to write texts.
Guest bobobird Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Tested Compared to what the site says, this app can go in the garbage. Totally useless for a finger friendly environment.
Guest shlomshi Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 I am sorry to tell you all that you don't know what you are talking about. first of all , the iCONTACTS and all the similar applications were based on the flash scrolling - they were havy and useless, just caching the eye of showing off. the O3 Touch application is fast as hell, very usefull and stable and very finger fraindly. This is now became my dial, SMS and EMAIL first application for my mobile. everything is big and clear and wonderfull with that programm.
Guest bobobird Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Try scrolling the contacts lists....
Guest shlomshi Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 (edited) Try scrolling the contacts lists.... Well, let me ask this. why do you need scrolling? for all I know , scrolling makes the device, any device even iphone to get havy and slow. just for showing off? In that app, the contacts book is rarely needed, because of the searching system in the keyboard. it is so simple and quick the you even not need to scroll, why bother? Hey Shlomshi, don't worry it is obvious he has not used used the program long enough to discover how useful it is or read the manual. I like you am now using it all the time. I did mention in my original post that this is not eye candy however everyone to their own, I personally prefer practicality over nice looking gimmicks although it would be nice to have both if possible.

Guest bobobird Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) Ok, given the replies I will try it again. Edit : you guys are right. It is pretty good and damn quick at searches. And since it brings up the searched list there is really not much need to scroll either. Thanks for the info. Edited October 26, 2008 by bobobird

Guest shlomshi Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Are there any other skins for this app. orginal looks badly Well as I see it you have a day skin and night skin (by pressing a long press,3 on the skin button you can change it) . As I know the next version will have skin editor for it. everybody look for the flashy thing... but it is havy and slow. this APP is fast and simple, and that is what so damm great about it. you can do MAIL, SMS, CALL , EDITING cantutcs from one application so simple that I am now number one fan

Hi, This is stunning app. Quite a steep learning curve but when you get it all undercontrol it is a great piece of kit. Phone manufacturers will be after this one. Only one nagging prob so far..... 1...If you turn the app off and back on again it always opens in night skin (no prob to reset) but better if you could set default skin. 2...In settings The Set Process reverts back to default state of messaging on restarting....This one is annoying as requires typing all settings in every time. Apart from that it sure beats all that scrolling nonsense and that silly letter bar at the side of Samsung app. Nice job.. :D

Any soloutions ?? No problems, I have used the remap program and have soft resetted a number of times and it has not reverted back, not sure why you are having that problem.

Fixed. In my case, had to map 2x and the mapping now sticks. Thanks again.
Guest MikeStanley Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Great application, fast and practical, thanks for sharing! I agree - great app, with > 150 contacts the scroll type are a bit too much
Guest Darius121 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 I have question , I have tried search contacts by numbers and letters but program couldn`t find it any. Do I have to put it manualy to my Omnia ? I don`t know what is going now ?? Thank You
