Guest sandyg86 Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Hi can anyone help. I have an omnia which I bought and am trying to use an o2 sim in it, but I can't seem to get the email and internet to work properly. The phone was originally on Vodafone but they have unlocked it as requested but it seems that it must be preconfigured with their settings. o2 I'm told don't support the omnia so I'm wondering if it's possible to get a generic rom which I could install on the phone and therefore do away with all vodafone content and have it as if I had bought it direct from Samsung? I don't know if this is possible but would appreciate any help. It may be that I am just not setting it up properly as I am no whizz kid at this sort of thing. Thanks Sandy
Guest Clos Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 My Omnia is on O2 and it all works fine. I got it as an O2 upgrade through carphone warehouse. Have you tried getting the O2 settings from the samsung website http://uk.samsungmobile.com/supports/confi...e/wapSetting.do? Hope this helps.

Hi...thanks for info but I already try that., I'm guessing your phone is not branded like vodafone T Mobile etc so will have no preconfigured settings onboard. It is those I want to get rid off or a step by step on how to set up. I'm not too up to speed on this sort of thing. Thanks
