Guest nicekate Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 I haven't figured out the best place for my contacts yet. Why do so many options come with the phone? What is the difference between phonebook and contacts? They all seem to call up the same database info, why provide so many? Which should I use? Why are none of them easily scrollable? With the finger mouse I am either on the first or last contact. With the touchscreen, I invariably call up the contact detail of many people before getting to the one I really want to see? What am I doing wrong here? Help!

Guest nicekate Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 I'm installing the cab file as I type. If it can solve the contacts problems and make text messaging simple, that would be lovely. I'll get back to you in a few days to see how I got on.
Guest Keyser Scholze Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 I like it! you may have to copy your contacts from sim to phone for it to see them make sure you read the user manual, there are quite a lot of settings available so if you don't like it you may well be able to customise it to your preference no scrolling rubbish, just type the first letters of the contact you want and it's there, very fast, then txt or call and it's free, result!

I uninstalled it. Sure it does what it says. But I sometimes had trouble answering the phone with it (I have S2U2), which is really the very minimum you expect a phone to do. Plus, for those who don't know this app, it's not sexy at all. This might seem superficial of me, but if an app throws form out the window for function, well it's only doing half what it set out to do. So I'm sticking with phonebook for now (over contacts, I find it has better scrolling). Hopefully something better will come along. Cheers.
Guest the-jackal Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Not sure I understand what the problem is. I have no third party app forr calling up contacts. I just press the Call button (bottom left) and then type tha name i want. It comes up at the top. Works with first and second names on my phone.

Hi nicekate The application dose not interferes with answering calls. It shows fairly big message on the top part of the screen so that you can see the caller name. If you have other application that show you better incoming call message, disable that option (setting page 2, line 1). As for itself it is a minor feature for devices that have only the original incoming call balloon. The effort here is not to be lovely, it is about trying to find, call, send SMS and manage the contact’s data, all in one environment, simple and fast. From what you say I think we fail to clarify what it is all about, (or to implement it...) Did you meet the “Restore” feature or the editing option of the SMS text… We got feedback from users with over 2000 contacts saying that they could never find a contact so fast and accurate. It take some time to get to know some of the advantages of that app. It is not my words it the response we get from some users who like it. Cheers.
