Guest kordi Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Hi guys, I've been using HTC prophet for 2 years and the touch pad in omnia is realy a pain in the ass as compared to navi key that is installed in HTC devices. Both mouse emulation and novi key emulation are crap. Mouse emulation is frustrating when you want to scroll the screen. It's almost impossible for to hold the key and try to move the bar on the side. The whole idea of holding the bar while scrolling is also frustrating. As for navi key navigation the most frustrating thing is that when you want to go through the list of items i.e. ten items down, you have to move your finger 10 times ... After 5 minutes of such scrolling my thumb hurts. What I am looking for is a kind of combination of the two method. A navi key emulation which work somehow like a mouse, meaning that when you move your finger down it scrolls through a few items down at a time and with a precise timing you can choose the one that you want. Is there any kind of software that can do this?
Guest kordi Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Cammon guys. Isn't there any software to change Dpad functionality in any way?? Not to make it another worthless post here is something that I found that partially fixes the problem.... http://www.pocketnow.com/index.php This program allows you to switch from mouse to dpad using a hardware key.

Anyway instead of trying to click-and-hold and simultaneously drag a scroll bar up and down - can you not just use a finger and pull the scroll bar up/down/left/right or am i not feeling you on this?

Common ... hiting scroll bar with a finger is very inconveniant. Especially when you hold the phone with one hand.

I know it. Still its very unprecise. I really don't understand why there is no such option to swipe with similar to mouse sensivity, and without this freaking videtonez that slow the process down.
