XT9 Not working... Help!!!

I recently install Resco keyboard. After installation, I try to use the default "Samsung keyboard" and found that my XT9 is not working any more... (try to tap at the "abc" but do not change to "XT9" mode). Tried to un-install Recso keyboard but still get the same result.

In my case, I would think that Resco keyboard has done some registry changes.

Is there any kind soul who can tell me the values and names of the registry that handle the "XT9" mode of the Samsung keyboard?

Or if is not the registry, maybe is it posiible to tell me the any solution to handle this problem?

I would not want to do a hard reset in my case.

My ROM = DXHH3

Thanks in advance

Check under

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409\

The string Ime File should be set to \windows\XT9ime.dll and the string Layout Text should be set to XT9 IME

Hope this works for you.

Hello everybody,

Just joined the forum! I have my omnia since a week now and since the beginning this XT9 has been playing up on my phone...

When I select it in the "setting" it works fine but when I go out the messaging program and re enter it seems to forget this setting and I have no XT9, I have so reselect it in settings to reactivate it...

I checked the register as mentioned before here and this seems all ok!

Anybody more suggestions/idea's?

Yves
