ROM Info and battery life

ok all this is confusing.

1) Where do I obtain the OFFICIAL ROM from samsung? I go to samsungmobile and they only have options for france, italy, phillipines etc.. but NOT the UK?

2) What is the latest official ROM? I have i900xxhg5/mshg1

3) Battery takes a lot longer to charge in comparison to HTC Dual Touch and the C500 where they take anything from 45 mins to 1.5 hours. This one takes more than 2 hours. Why?

4) How can I improve the battery life? it lasts really, for about half a day to almost a full day making 4 or 5 calls....

1. you don't, only through service centers.

2. your authorized service center should be able to tell you about this specific information best.

3. Yes, our Omnias take almost 3 hours to charge every charge, I personally leave it over night every night!

4. First: Upgrade your ROM. Second: use it less! :lol: no really, you could turn off 3G, always shutdown applications (not only minimize them), turn off any push mail and use pull with more than an hour fetch time, or you could shut down internet at all, turn off "beam", turn off bluetooth or at least make it invisible, turn off wifi... and of course a bad coverage will always drain your battery dead and heat it up big time!

I just want to remind you that the Omnia battery is bigger in charge than the other two you mentioned:

That might not justify the length(time-wise) of charging though!

I do think that Samsung had to design the phone with slow charging in mind to lengthen the battery life.

Only an Omnia Specialist/Techy can enlighten us on that, for sure.

for some strange reason hardreset after flash will increase battery performance, today I made (with) receiving 10 calls used GPS for 20 minutes and still have 90% (still shows 5 bars) i900DTHJ6 Lite01 ROM by PassoA.
