Guest ujkakevin Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 When I used to connect my Omnia to the USB port, activesync would see the device. Yesterday I connected the Omnia and activesync failed to recognise it. The laptop beeps as if a device is attached and the screen of the omnia indicates that it is charging but activesync doesn't initiate. When I change USB mode on the omnia, it is recognised immediately as external storage. Anyone got any ideas as I need to synchronise a number of items between the two devices.

You can try disabling the Enhanced "USB to PC"... In the past I was able to synchronize in enhanced mode. On a certain day it stopped working, but now it still works in "non enhanced" mode. I think it is an issue with my company laptop, by the way (maybe a new firewall setting or so)
Guest markym Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Had the same problem and the only way I fixed it was to uninstall and reinstall activesync. Did this and it's been working perfectly for a fair while now.

But now, I turned of the enhanced thingy and can connect again, thanks!!!
Guest chunkhead Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Normally a Vista issue. You only need to re-install the driver, not the entire activesync!
Guest dopeness Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Just to piggyback off of this Active Sync thread. I had to return my first Omnia bact to Verizon yesterday. Got a new one and I moved a movie file from of the desktop to the movies in storage portion. It took 4 HOURS to transfer (my first one it took about 25 min for a 900 MB movie). On top of that, i have only added about 4 gigs to the storage. However, after about an hour the storage jumps up to full capacity - from out of nowhere?!?! I have done a hard rest 2x's on this thing. Has anyone experienced anything close to this with thir new i910 or the even the i900? ANY help would be appreciated.
