Messaging

Help please....I seem to have somehow disabled messaging and email on my phone. I can't access them from the Today screen,Start menu or programmes menu. I was playing about in the Task manager and closed programmes I didn't think I needed to be running and can't remember what I closed but since I was in there messaging doesn't work so I'm guessing it's something I did. I thought I had no more to do than tap on the programme I wanted and it would fire up again but it seems not. What can I do?
