Anyone know if the Touch HD will have a light sensor?

Not sure TBH.

Not seen it in the specs, but heard it mentioned in some reviews.

It uses the front camera.

Put your finger on it and the backlight will dimm

Yes, its actually the clear plastic LED looking thing on the right hand side of the phone earpiece cutout - I thought it was a notification LED, till I read the manual!

mine doesn't seem to do anything - does this function have to be enabled/activated?

I think its enabled by default...

Its under Start > Settings > System > Power > Backlight

A check box, 'Auto adjust backlight'

It doesnt adjust by much and fades between two stages...

Test it by putting a small torch over it at night - the display should get brighter, or in daylight, put your thumb over it - the display should dim.

I think its enabled by default...

mine was disabled by default, but thanks for the info :rolleyes:
