Any one was succesful with this metod I see few dowloads all ready but no one says if was working or not.

Please leave feedback so in this way people know if is work or not.

Yes it works for me!

Bin tryin to install DXHJ1 Vista updater from Samsung website, always got "wrong software version check phone". Even though my current version was DXHI1

Followed this guide then ran the updater and it said "version verified" and it's now currently installing the rom!

I chose Phillipines on the Samsung website, so also chose Phillipines when changing phone, works fine on my UK Omnia!

my rom version is PHONE-i900DXHG3/DXHG3.PDA-DXHG3

I HAVE ORIGINAL USB CABLE+ XP PRO WID SERVICE PACK2+ACTIVE SYNC4.5+SAMSUNG MODEM DRIVER

i tried DXHJ1 version..TRIED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS.reset da device...n also restartd...but still CANT see my phone on start...i also tried doin dis...official singapore rom i900AEHH2 version ...bt its sayin incorrect version...I TRIED THIS ALSO(BELOW)>>>>>

Sorry to hear that did you try few times or did you hard reset your phone? Try to hard reset your phone (you gonna lose all your files which you installed before) and try again.

What does this thing do?? is it for changing the vers info of rom, so I can use this before going to service and change rom code to my country ??

Downgrade to an earlier version first (e.g., i900DXHG3), change the configuration as above, then you should be able to upgrade to you wanted ROM.

I tryed this, but again "Incorrect Software Version"

Finally I joined this forum after so much frustration, I am having the same problem with you guys it is DXHG3 and I cannot upgrade the firmware, in fact DXHG3 is a nice version but out of curiosity and the way some people explained the difference in camera and battery consumption, I want to upgrade my ROM.

The flash video shown above is very nice tutorial and i have seen this method on other websites as well, i changed it from HongKong to Singapore and did everything but it again says "Incorrect version" or sometimes "You are already running the newest firmware"

And now i see that so many people are facing this problem, please someone provide me several ways to update this Omnia firmware DXHG3. I personally think that hardreset and changing location to singapore doesnt make any sense, coz its giving the same error as before.

Anyone who has bought this Omnia from HK and updated from DXHG3, please reply me and help me. I will be grateful. Thanks!

Finally it worked for me. I did the steps you adviced and make the phone whith Singapore but still the Singapore update didnt work. For me worked the malaysia update.and my rom updated succesfully. Thanks a lot...
