Best tips to conserve power on Omnia?

Turned off mail syncing on arrival as it totally and not unexpectedly rapes the battery.

Turned off Bluetooth when I don't need it as well helped.

Can the 3G radio be turned off as apart from surfing which I will do on the odd occasion I won't need it?

Any other tips for conserving battery power as I can't seem to get anymore than a day out of it.

Use Power Saving mode in Power Settings. It will adjust display brightness upon the content that it display.

If you don't need HSDPA then turn it of in Settings -> Connections -> HSDPA (I don't know that if help or not)

bring up dial pad, click menu, then on More tabs, select band selection, then click get settings, from the drop down choose GSM 900/1800, that will connect you to edge and GPRS only.

Are you on HH3 by any chance? If so you may wanna try out other roms, like HJ1

Download Advanged Configuration Tool from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151, and change in Data Connection gprs auto attach to Disable. You need also Microsoft .NET 3,5.
