GPRS

hi people my first post is about GPRS I have a XDA-ORBIT(O2) pocket pc. I want to stop GPRS kicking in when I am using XDA at home while on the internet . there is no problem connecting to my home internet with XDA but when I use some sites the GPRS kicks in , can I uninstall GPRS alltogether as I never use it ? cheers
