Guest The Godfather Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 (edited) Samsung Korea announced this Morning the T*OMNIA, the OMNIA’s big brother. If basically both the OMNIA and T*OMNIA are similar, the Korean version has some improved features, with : - A slightly larger Screen 3.3” (Regular OMNIA has only a 3.22”) - A Higher Screen Resolution of 480 x 800 (Regular OMNIA has only a 240 x 400 screen resolution) - A DMB TV Tuner (Digital TV Tuner) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited November 3, 2008 by The Godfather
Guest ldbs Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 i am officially mad. time to sell my omnia for this lol http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news_galle...T_OMNIA_005.jpg go here to see
Guest sector Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 I prefer to keep my omnia and get the girl holding the new phone haha
Guest Omnia_1 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Big deal, besides all these extra features just contribute to battey drain. I would love to see the i900 Omnia thread split into sections like XDA does for its devices, frustrating to scroll through pages and pages of useless repetitive noob rubbish.
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Saw a post for that the other day. Touch HD competition I wonder. It would be if they added a 3.5mm jack, and allowed miniusb charging!

You can see that the first word of the address is NEWS so, what did u expect from this thread (If you are a Korean citizen u can get a Samsung T*OMNIA for free) :D And since this section (OMNIA) doesn't has a NEWS division so I had to post it here as just a heads-up...
Guest The Godfather Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Anyone else noticed that Today BG is maybe an advanced mode from Samsung D900 which was based on day/night conditions and now weather... If that is true it would be a nice touch by Samsung...
Guest samjuan Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 and did you notice that the today screen doesn't have the upper or lower stupid useless WM bars and only the widgets? that is a classy touch... By the way, for whoeven complained about NOOBISH posts, I wonder what have you contributed to Modaco community, other than silly insulting comments...
Guest GSeeker2 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 never mind, i'd sold my Omnia last week and now im waiting for my T-Mobile G1. :D
Guest The Godfather Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 and did you notice that the today screen doesn't have the upper or lower stupid useless WM bars and only the widgets? that is a classy touch... No, I didn't..!!!! And what do u call these WM BARS!!!??? :D
Guest Massive Attack Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Saw a post for that the other day. Touch HD competition I wonder. It would be if they added a 3.5mm jack, and allowed miniusb charging! 3.5mm port and miniUSB? its time to change phone then.
Guest Massive Attack Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 No, I didn't..!!!! And what do u call these WM BARS!!!??? :D 2 out of 3 BG have no WM Bars.
Guest samjuan Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 2 out of 3 BG have no WM Bars. exactly... thank you! it seems that they have the option to do so, that means we have the option as well... don't you think the Omnia will look really better without those windows bars?
Guest vtngmmk Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Why the spec never list how big the rom/ram???? 480*800 resolution should need a bigger rom to handler. OLD OMNIA 128MB TOO SMALL.
Guest secany Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 (edited) SCH-W550 SCH-W5500 isn't WM. SCH-M490/M495 IS WM 6.1 and work on BOTH GSM/WCDMA !!!! But all language is KOREAN. SCH-i910 WM 6.1 will be available in US, CDMA ver. SGH-V930 (930SC Softbank) isn't WM. There is another upgrade version of i900 OMNIA will be coming in next year  Name has been decided, but I can't tell you guys yet. Edited November 3, 2008 by secany
Guest secany Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 And the SCH-M490/M495 name isn't T*OMNIA. It called Eternity.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Is the i910 the CDMA Omnia? P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Ah gotcha! SCH-M490/M495 does sound interesting... P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 How I wish Samsung would move to miniUSB! P

I would like to think that the end of November or early December Omnia upgrade will have that as well, or else.. :D ;) ... I'm gonna do absolutely nothing...
