Short changed in the UK?

Hi all, firstly I'd like to say Hi, as this is my first post.

I've owned my omnia now for 2 weeks having bought it from vodafone UK under contract.

I've been trying to read up as much as I can in order to clue up with it.

I've been reading this review:

and it started to dawn on me, that the reviewers phone was way different to my Omnia.

For starters, where is the third 'today' screen option, and also the powercalc?

I also can't get the task switcher, and when I press and hold the top righthand side button that opens the quicktouch main screen I get a message :

"shortcut target

Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename."

Is there anywhere where I can download these missing components?, or is it just a case of you're in the UK so deal with it!

I've browsed the forum and downoaded the CAB for the powercalc, thanks for that.

Why do the roms differ in terms of what they give us, and are there other gems that we in the UK are missing?

I've opened the CD that came with it, but it's as much use as a chocolate fireguard, offering me only some weblinks to the Windows mobile website through a swanky interface.

All help greatly appreciated.

You can download the original Task Switcher app from the link below. I assume you do know that the Samsung scientific calculator only appears in landscape mode!

I'm on Orange UK and the original rom was not missing anything as far as I could see. I've updated the rom a couple of times now. They only really differ in how they perform ie battery life, wifi, gprs connectivity. Although the most recent roms have extras that were not in the early ones such as Connected Home and a selection of animations for the portrait/landscape tilt.
