Hello guys and gals,

I have upgraded my Omnia from the cervice center, and I noticed that after doing a hard reset, it will auto install some applications, I don't want it to do so at all, is there a way to stop the auto installation process of cab files? without changing the rom image?

Thanks in advance...

Long time no service center ROM, but I think if you perform a soft reset just when the message box saying it will install in 3 seconds, it should stop the auto installation of cab files. Try it, no harm.

I know, me too... its just that I am having this intermittent disappearing of "My Storage", I tried to find answers or if anyone is facing the same issue here, but seems that I'm on my own, so I had to play the warranty card!

Thanks mate, trying right this minute and will see how it goes.

Edit: ok just tried it, it doesn't give me the 3 second warning, it starts the installer right away without any prompts, and at the end it will ask me to restart, if I restart the phone right when it starts, it will start again and again, everytime I start the phone!!!

looks like there is no way?!

very interesting, I believe all Omnia do the same but silently.

(first automatic restart after HR/flash)

could you shot the whole process for us please ?
