Guest lastnikita Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 PaSSoa, I saw you remove Shozu from HKLM\init, and if I'm not wrong that reg entry was in the CSC.. Please, how do you edit it ? Thanks !
Guest MickyMax Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Hi lastnikita, I think you're in a wrong way. I've dumped the rom and I think the init's registry key is added when you run Shozu at first time... @++
Guest PaSSoA Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 You are right, it is in the CSC portion, just a little hexediting to remove registries not needed  You need to fill the bytes or the file will break.

Guest zemrwhite2 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Hello, Thank you for this tool. However, I have a problem using it, but I think my usage is not right. I use "Samsung i90X ROM Kitchen BY [email protected]" to extract ROM parts from i900AEHH2updater_xp.exe. Then try to disassemble Customer_CSC by feeding i900_EXEcutor.exe with the "CSC.bin" file I got from the first step. Some files are extracted, then I have this error message : "Range check error". I guess this is not the right way, and could someone tell me how to use properly this tool ? thx
Guest catmat Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Just use for splitting Firmware.exe i900_EXEcutor, not i900tools from Samsung i90X ROM Kitchen BY [email protected]
Guest zemrwhite2 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) Just use for splitting Firmware.exe i900_EXEcutor, not i900tools from Samsung i90X ROM Kitchen BY [email protected] Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I tried that, it was even the first thing I did, but the software did not regocnize it as a a "exe_firmware", then freezes for some time when closing the error message box. So I thought the function was for a completely different purpose. However, I have just checked with another file, it works like a charm with "i900_French_XHHH4.exe". I am pretty sure of the "i900AEHH2updater_xp.exe" file, since I updated my phone with it, and the other tool managed to extract its content without complaining. Maybe a version/header present in that file issue ? It is a french SFR-branded ROM. Edited November 9, 2008 by zemrwhite2
Guest catmat Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 900AEHH2updater_xp.exe - this is offisial firmware, for enduser flashing. this firmware has some different srtucture... but... may be version 1.3 can splitting this B)

I now hope that Pako777 will continue the good work and support those firmware structures ! Thank you all for this tool.

Guest JonPhone Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 what the exactly command do you use to unpack? I try i900tool -d i900dxhj1 but there is error I just used the CSC unpack fonction, like that : i900tool -DumpCSC CSC.BIN It works great where the other tool from Pako777 gave me an error with the CSC.BIN from my branded ROM B) To unpack a complete ROM, I used i900Romkitchen from PaSSoA (How to cook by PaSSoA). Try it B)
Guest weisun Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 what the exactly command do you use to unpack? I try i900tool -d i900dxhj1 but there is error I think you probably forgot to add the Extension ".exe" 。
