Guest Natsirt Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Hey all, I've searched and searched and i still cant get this problem fixed. Initially i tried playing avi files on touch player and WMP, but they said that there was unsupported audio formats and so i was like ok... search for another alternative. Then everyone recommends CorePlayer, the player that can play almost any format no problems, so i gave that a try and got my hands on it... But when i tried opening up an .avi file, i get the same "unsupported Audio Codec AC-3" problem. Is this a problem with coreplayer or the file or something else? Thanks guys oh yeah, the version of coreplayer is 1.2.5 build 4506, if that helps.
Guest mobilehappy Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) CorePlayer does not support AC3 , they have stated that they will make a commercial AC3 add-on available though. (AC3 is a commercial licensed format, so CorePlayer would have to pay fees to Dolby to be able to use it) You can use TCPMP with a AC3 Plugin. Edited November 5, 2008 by mobilehappy
