background images

when i try to defin an image as background the image apear like with a grey layer on it... any idears?

I had that happen , but there is an option to adjust the transparency of selected wallpaper,cant remember where it was , my pictures i think ,if you use the widget it doesnt happen.

Don't choose the background file in the today settings, open the picture with media album, the go to menu set as today background
