Research into bricking

Hi all

I'm doing a bit research and I hope that those with similar issues may add their bit to see if there's any correlation.

My phone's bricked for the second time - this time in the MONAHANS state. I've sent it back to Singapore and included a detailed report as requested by the company I orignally purchased it from, and Singapore Asia.

After the first time bricked and returned to me I was able to flash the phone several times, but the last time I attempted to flash my phone it died (MONAHANS). My phone also had the inability to hard reset using the prescribed method of holding the Start/End keys and hitting the soft reset button (next to the power button) ever since I've had the Omnia. I've always thought that this inability "may" be an initial indication that a phone is prone to failing when flashing under normal conditions.

If you have had flashing problems under normal conditions and you have noticed irregularities with your phone before flashing (such as the one similar to mine), I'd be interested in your comments. I will also include these results and send them to add to my detailed report for Samsung Asia (via the telecommunictions company I bought my phone from).

I also have had problems flashing. I updated my rom to HH3 and it worked fine when samsung had a driver and updater. Now my phone is completely bricked because of the update.
