NO BATTERY CHARGE WITH ACTIVESYNC

Hi guys,

I'm trying to disable the charge of the battery in my omnia but I can not do it. In the HTC DIAMOND of my brother I can find an option that allow you to disable the Acitvesync charge but in the omnia it doesn't exist.

I was reading in others web pages a little way to enable or disable the charge in our omnias changin one valor in the registry of the phone but our omnia registry doesn´t have this valour. I don't know what can I do. Some knows the solution for the problem?

I think that is not so good for the battery charge all time while the mobile is conected to the PC.

I write the little solution find in other pages and someone try to do find the valour in the registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\usbfndrv

EnableUsbCharging = 1 (CHARGE WHEN OMNIA IS CONNECTED TO PC)

EnableUsbCharging = 0 (NOT CHARGE WHEN OMNIA IS CONNECTED TO PC)

I can not find this line in my omnia.

Try to create it (the data type is DWORD). You can use PHM Registry Editor or Total Commander to do that.

As long as the phone is connected for more than say twenty minutes at a time then there is nothing wrong with a top-up charge.

Li-ion batteries prefer to be topped up rather than being drained which can cause damage if you try to fully discharge them.
