Guest herojas Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I have my omnia since last week. When I reciebe the phone, whit vodafone ROM, I can see how when I press the optical mouse the little arrow appears and when i didn´t press anything disappears automatically. That allow me to enable the option of mouse in the settings menu all time. With the new ROM I can not do this because if I enable the optical mouse this remain in the screen all time, don't disappear automatically. That is the reason I have to enble the movement option in the setting mouse menu instead the optical mouse. I am doing something wrong or that function with new ROM'S (I900DTXJ9) is correct? Thanks

Thanks Yeah me too! I have noticed that and i'm very interested on how i can make dissapear the mouse pointer when i dont use it, like in vodafone rom. I've searched on the internet, here, in the forums and in the registry and i don't find anything at all. Is in the registry some key to hide it after n seconds?? Thanks!!
Guest gavzter Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I'd like to know this too. I'm on MCR02 rom I quite liked having the mouse pointer when I needed it. I don't want it on screen permanently tho ;( Gavin
Guest o0joe0o Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 assign a button for it just like what i did,i choose the camera button to activate and disactivate the mouse.
Guest thankyou Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 check out this page. it works great with my omnia. just need to make shortcut of it. http://www.modaco.com/content/i780-i780-mo...toggle-command/
Guest lochindaal Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 I miss this off my Vodafone ROM as well. I have implemted the fingermouse button fix but the Vodafone solution is way better to use and doesn't waste a button.
Guest Motofone Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 I wonder if someone with Voda rom who has reg edit could go to hklm/system/state/samsung/mouse and see if they have extra setting...settings in rom HJ5 are Default ActionMethod(3001)...when on CursorShape(0)...white arrow FileName 01_pointer_01_2.bmp Speed(2001) UserFeedback(0 Cheers..
Guest MJAG03 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 my settings are ActionMethod(4001) CursorShape(0) FileName (01_pointer_01_2.bmp) Speed(2001)

Guest laserman123 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 (edited) My mouse pointer turns off as it used to in earlier roms. Comparing the registry entry it seems that you need to add: dword value called 'Hide' with decimal value of '1' dword value called 'UseFeedback' with decimal value '1' Speed is set to '3001' Edited January 30, 2009 by laserman123

Guest dwallersv Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 It Works !!!!!! I hava a DHL3 Rom THX !!!!! Didn't for me. I have a Verizon 910. Added the "Hide" value (the other one was there, already 1), but the cursor does not ever hide. Soft-resetted, BTW. Too bad... this would be nice. Must be something implemented in the mouse driver later than the version shipped on the 910s.
