Hi Friends, Is there a fix for this?, all other phones work fine and power the phone on sound the alarm.

The omnia on the other hand does not seem to do this, maybe a bug due to the clock not updating in real time (or whilst off - time doesnt update)

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

Works fine for me... Alarm wakes up the phone correctly.

As long as you dont really turn the phone (with long power button press) obviously.

Just to clarify.

When turned OFF, as in completely off, this device does not function at all. In fact all Windows Mobile devices are similar. This is not like non-smartphone mobile phones where they can be completely powered off, and turn themselves on at a certain time to sound the alarm.

This is how Windows Mobile works I'm afraid.

The accepted way of working is to put the phone into sleep mode, quickly depress the power button to turn off the screen. Phone is still functional but screen is off.

If you are worried about calls, emails, sms etc then in settings turn on Etiquette mode and turn the phone face down. You will ONLY get notified by the alarm.

It is indeed.. it's a just bad Windows Mobile designed  . Symbian (it's a SMARTPHONE !) works in a different way :D

Samsung could have done something about this (implementing a device specific alarm function) but they didn't I'm afraid
