Sliming an already installed ROM ?

I saw there's some LITE ROMs posted.

Removing stuff like the Zoomer and other not so useful stuff.

Is it possible to remove such from an already install Official ROM ?

I find it hard to guess from the process names and services names the feature they support and provide.

Do you know of processes and files that one can remove to make the ROM Liter ?

Registry tweaks, Service disabling and etc.
