Guest kordi Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Is it just me or Omnia's screen senivity is VERY poor. I mean to the point that sometimes it becomes annoying. Sometmes I have to tap 2 or 3 times before the screen connects. ie. my HTC prophet is like 3 times more sensitive. I have no such problems with it. Is there any software tweak for it? I've heard that diamond has a registry key for it...
Guest Michael122w Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 You know that it is possible to put more than one thought in a post. No it is not possible via any registry hacks that I have been able to find. There are a million post pointing this out. I think a quick search of the forum would have brought up responses on the same vein. Those posts would also advise you to update to the lates ROM as they have better sensitivity/

As for these threads, please show me. 1 other thread about screen sensivity and that is all .... With no solution of course// And for the roms ... I have quite a new one ... so no luck with this ... I have already answered this exact question on three other occasions - so I know that this same answer is available on this forum - and that a search would pick it up. I strongly believe that we are all responsible for using the resources made available to us all. You seem to be suggesting otherwise. But fundamentally, I think you should have read my answer properly before you get all preach about me being all preachy.
Guest phil215 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I suffer the same i'm afraid and am running one of the latest roms. Mine appears to be worst in the top right when trying to click the windows button. I have no advice to sort the screen sensitivity problem but this might help some others who have posted http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet)
Guest Massive Attack Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 its more of a hardware issue rather than a software, our screen rely on pressure for the touch to register, maybe if they implement something like the ipod click wheel, which relies on electric conduction on your finger for a touch to register. bring up the dialpad and press #*0#* and it will bring up a series of test, go to touch test, and compare the pressure needed for a finger touch to register and compare it to the pressure needed for a finger nail to register. you'll notice that fingernails requires less pressure.

Guest Michael122w Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 The code does not work Try running LCDTest.exe from the windows directory - it runs the test interface. It certainly makes a big difference between a finger and a nail/stylus.
Guest zemrwhite2 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 The code does not work I agree, there is a little typo in the code, should be *#0*#
