Hey,

Just wanted to submit the app I've written not so long ago. As SensorLock wasn't working on i900 I've developed own app with the similar functionality.

1. Unpack zip to any folder in the phone memory

2. Run PowerOffFlip.exe

3. Flip your phone clockwise (SensorLock style) to put it into suspend.

PowerOffFlip.zip

Sometimes requres a soft reset prior to first launch.

If you want it to start at startup - add it to corresponding windows startup folder.

Thanks.

Thank you.

Works well, there a little knack to get.

I turn the device with not just with my wrist, a gentle arm movement amplifying gesture helps.

Cool.

Thanks, I got it working but just once before I get an error after I come out of suspend.

I turn the phone clockwise(does it have to be 360 degrees? or 180?) and then it suspends but I turn it back on, the following error pops up..

An unexpected error has occurred in PowerOffFlip.exe.

Select Quit and then restart the program or select Deteails for more information.

in details,

PowerOffFlip.exe

InvalidOperationException

Unable to perform operation.

at

Sensors.SamsungGSensor.DeviceIoControl(int32 controlCode,Int32[] inBuffer, Int32[] outBuffer)

at

Sensors.SamsungGSensor.GetGVector()

at

PowerOffFlip.ActiveSensor.do_work().

I am running Passoa's lite02(before the fixed version).

regards,

Have you tried to soft reset the phone and start the app again?

As I can see it doesnt work on custom ROMs only?

No, I have the offical HJ1 rom.

It works but then it crashes after two three times of off-on cycle.

Also i'd say the idea is really nice, but fast 360 degrees isn't comfortable, 180 would have been enough, no ?

I'll test more tomorrow - maybe I'll find what messes up with the program.

Well, it copies the gesture used in SensorLock - and 180 will be too easy to do occasionaly.

Here you go - a small tutorial on fast wrist 360 B) Actually a SensorLock video.

most of the custom ROMs have speleomaniac's HTC sensor dll included, could this be interfering? I tried to disabled it on mine but I can't rename the dlls...

Nope, they won't interfere, I've got those on my device also.

Btw maybe try to disable automatic gsensor screen rotation? Settings/System/Motion Sensor -> Manual.

it's already in manual, automatic just irritating, I wish they can disable the animation and just rotate. that will be damn fast..

Hi, is it possible to make the same with "shake function" to suspend ?

What about ?

FWIW -- works for one suspend on a Verizon 910, but wakes up with the same error that's been discussed in this thread.

Too bad... it's the most attractive way to put the thing to sleep I've come across.
