Guest n1ck75 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 (edited) Any other linux distro users out there that have sucessfully paired their phones (windows mobile)? Would love to hear the storey's I'm using Kubuntu (hardy) i've got kpm-synce running (its like activesync), opensync-plugin (for evolution and Kontact) and its a JOY to use. Using rapip:// inside dolphin is about twice as fast as browser the phone via windows! Oh and kcemirror for remote display Edited November 12, 2008 by n1ck75
Guest nagyv Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Hi, I use Hardy with Gnome. With the description of Synce I was able to pair the devices, but sync does not work with Evolution for me. (I haven't tried it a lot though.) My major concerns are the following: * sometimes there is no CAB file to install directly on the phone, so I would need ActiveSync. Even if I have XP under VirtualBox, I could not connect the USB yet. Anyway, it would be nice without Virtualbox. * I would like to know how to backup my current flash and than reflash from Linux
