Which folder for which file?

Hi All,

On my Omnia, I'd love to know what folders people consider the best for each type of file.

I recently used CABviaActiveSync to install a CAB file for a skin (Mobile3v3.0.1.CAB) and I've no idea where on my phone it went to! And thus I cannot invoke the new skins, as I don't know what should go where. So I should probably install it again, but to which folder?

On my phone (similarly, I assume, to everyone else's!) there are the following folders:

Ok, now I understand what some (or even most) of these are for. But here are some questions:

Why did the SpbMobileShell2.1.2-WQVGA-Skins_Release3 application install itself in MyDocuments? If its an appplicaion, surely it should be in a folder in ProgramFiles?

Why are the camera pictures I've taken to be found in MyStorage>DCIM, and not MyPictures in the MyDocuments folder?

When I install a CAB file, where should I put it? If it's an application should it be installed to ProgramFiles and if it's a set of skins, should I maybe create a new folder called MySkins in the MyDocuments folder?

When installing, I always answer 'MyDevice' as the installation location, but this is obviously not where (some) of the files end up.

Also, I've read a lot about storing files in the MyStorage location, which presumeably is the storage card (mine is 8Gb). Which files are better off (or worse off) here?

Lastly (and on a totally different topic, so I apologise), I remember finding a thread (poss on xda-developers, poss on MoDoCo) which had a set of skins that had options like 9 fixed icons/1 row of pinned icons, 6 fixed icons/2 rows of pinned icons, etc, etc for the program/launcher panel. I've been looking for days now (really!) and I can't find the thread. I can't remember the name of the developer, all I know is that it WASN'T Robodad. It might've been a french guy (or at least a french-sounding name). Possibly. Does anyone know which one I'm on about?
