Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Does that makes sense? B) My BJII (recently upgraded from Samsung 6.1 site) shows UCHJ1 in version, whereas my dad's (also upgraded from Samsung 6.1 site earlier) has a HH build. Strange! Does anyone have anything newer than HJ1 showing? P

P I got the update as soon as it was released from the site and in the installer credential info it says: "Samsung SGH-i617 Downloader Tool HH2 For XP" I'm re-downloading it now to check again. M.S edit - p.s they were both flashed using the same OS type? Edited November 13, 2008 by Mysterious Stranger
Guest Mysterious Stranger Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Yes, it's a different update now. Before: Samsung SGH-i617 Downloader Tool HH2 For XP ID: 6602 Key: 6103 After: Samsung SGH-i617 Downloader Tool HJ1 For XP ID: 6704 Key: 9649 Haven't flashed mine with the new one yet - wonder what difference it makes? I noticed that now there is a ref to AKU1.0.1 mentioned? M.S
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Not really spotted any differences, but not looked very hard. Interesting it was stealthily updated tho! P
Guest konker Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 (edited) My current BJII is running on the HH2 update. I've another spare one that I can reflash with the supposed "updated" WM6.1 to have a thorough look over. BTW, has anyone of you managed to get the ICS working without the AT&T/MediaNet settings? I deleted those GPRS/WAP entries & I cannot get ICS to Connect whenever I plug it into my laptop. The Connect LSK is always greyed out. Will report back after the update... PS: I made a quick side-by-side comparison of the update description & discovered that they added this entry: "• Several enhancements were applied to optimize network communication" This was not in the HH2 update description. P Paul, Thanks for the ICS tip. Did not intend to highjack this thread. I've flash my spare BJII with HJ1 & I cannot find anything new inside. Even the reference to "enhancements were applied to optimize network communication" did not include anything cosmetically obvious so I assume it could be a firmware update or registry tweak of some kind. I'm not sure if this takes care of the Outlook Mobile Email sending problem plaguing WM6.1 users. I've already applied the MS update to resolve that issue on my HH2 BJII. I created a registry image of the HJ1 BJII in case you're interested to try & compare it with the HH2 registry image using CERegEditor. Let me know where I can upload it. Does anyone still have HH1and/or HH2 firmware versions? I am on T-Mobile USA and would like to see if one of these improve my Edge signal any. (I used an "old" radio rom when I had my BJ-I in the past, as it gave me MUCH improved Edge signal).

P This may be very naive, but how to get to HKLM and the rest of the registry directories? and what to use to edit these registers? In PC, regedit would work, but what to use in Blackjack II? Thanks
